If anybody is coming to the Cornell @ Princeton hockey game on the 14th (this saturday), holler, because we can meet up and cheer together as the big red destroy the tigers!

dude how can i get a ticket to that? i go to IC. can you buy tickets at the door or do you need to have them previously from season tickets etc.?

ajp87, since I'm pretty sure season tickets are only for Lynah Rink, you don't need them. You will however, need to find a way to get to Princeton :) (Not sure you saw that it's an away game, especially since I'm pretty sure IC starts sooner than CU). . . .if you already realized this, I'm an idiot and I appologize, lol.

i remember one time i posed on the uportal classifieds for "Cornell @ Harvard hockey tickets" and everybody ignored who was @ whom haha. I got like 6 offers for people trying to sell their tickets for like $400 and then realized they were retarded and were like "whoops sorry."

Anyway, for princeton games you can buy tickets at the door or by calling the ticket office at (609) 258-3538.

For cornell games tickets go on sale the friday of/the day before the game at 10AM at the bartels ticket windows and cost $15. If it's a big weekend you want to get to bartels an hour or two before 10AM because there will be a line.

Ahh, the Princeton game is starting now and I'm not there! A delayed flight, traffic, the rain...basically it all added up to me missing my ride out to Princeton. Grrr. At least I'll be back at Cornell for the next few home games...

OK, so my wrap up of the game. (we'll ignore the fact that we lost for the first part of this).

The atmosphere was awesome. Baker Rink was packed with cornell fans. We probably out numbered princeton fans 3 or 4 to 1. The big red band was there. Cowbell guy was there. We did gary glitter and the alma matter and swannee river. We did all the standard cheers. That was sweet. It really was like "Lynah South." Plus we upset princeton in basketball...that was cool.

Now, we did lose 3-0...that's bad. Princeton scored a messy goal in the first period. I think it may even have bounced off Gleed's stick into the net. Goal two was on a breakaway and, hey McKee is a good goalie, but it's not exactly fair terms on a breakaway. Goal 3 was on an open net when we had a 6th man on late in the 3rd period. Princeton kept icing the puck the entire game to protect their 1 goal lead. The strategy worked, but it was pretty pitiful. Their goalie Leroux stopped a lot of shots, but actually didn't appear to be picking up the puck very well. He spent the whole game on his knees, and IMO got lucky a lot of times.

Wow, you're way too excited after the loss.

"Cowbell guy" was not there. The student playing the cowbell is a junior. The P goal in the 1st went off Gleed's skate and the team couldn't shake that off. The 2nd was Pokulok's fault. This team has no offensive creativity and is still prone to defensive lapses. To say Leroux "didn't appear to be picking up the puck very well" is absurd; he made 35 saves for the shutout. And yeah, P kept icing the puck, but Cornell couldn't get anything going on the offense. It is very hard to have a good feeling about this team as the second half begins.

Sorry, I sit in section E usually, and don't know cowbell guy by face. "the role of cowbell guy" was fulfilled...is that better? ;) wasn't saying goal 2 wasn't cornell's fault, i was saying it can't be pinned on McKee.

as for leroux, he spent half the game on his knees in the butterfly and was looking the other way half of the times the puck flew by/bounced off him from what I saw. Granted he did a great job overall; I'm just saying I feel he got a bit lucky, because it seemed like a lot of really good shots were going off. Obviously I could never do what he did though! haha :D

PPS: who are you; you seem to know a lot. I'm a random freshman fan...
