I hear AEM is a hard school to get into.

You have an excellent GPA, SAT score, and class rank. Based on your classes, it looks like you’ve been trying to take harder and harder coursework which is good (full senior year of AP’s). Keep up the work and don’t slack off. You have a lot of extracurricular, so try to focus on the ones you have been doing for quite a while (more than one year). Talk about your internships as well. I’m not entirely sure about the genuineness of the last two awards you have listed…can someone else help clarify? Otherwise, you have a good looking portfolio, just work on the essay and be sure to turn in all the materials on time. Don’t forget financial aid.

Sapere, thanks for the review. The last 2 awards are awards that I was nominated for by my school. I dont know whether they bear any weight but I wanted to see if anyone here knows about them and whether I should include them in my application (the NSHSS one has an essay submission scholarship of $1,000 as well).

Search for some threads about them on this forum. I believe they’re offered to alot of students and you basically pay a fee to get on them…and colleges know that. You’re better off not listing them methinks.

bump…

looks good. Your stats are very solid. I would just write strong essays and you would stand a healthy chance of getting in. If you apply ED with strong essays, you would stand about 60% chance, I would say. If u apply RD, it would be around 30%. For RD, the acceptance rate for AEM was around 10% this past year. Nothing is guaranteed for AEM at RD. And, I would also take a look at other top business programs such as NYU Stern, Wharton, Georgetown, and UVa.

ED and you’re in  (most likely)
