good luck everyone!

it's getting close... =/ I started to not be able to sleep...

I know what you mean.

I got into Northwestern, so I am not as nervous I would be if I hadn't gotten into that level of a school. But ultimately I find myself reminding myself that I love Cornell, and I think it is where I would fit in best. So really: nervous, scared and anxious. I think I will look at Cornell first out of the 4 ivy's I applied to on Monday.

For those who are comparing:

Applied CoE (prepared to do some serious geeking out)
GPA: 4.5ish now
ACT: 30
SAT II: Math II: 760 Physics: 680
Calc BC, Gov, English Lit, English Lang (5), Physics B and other honors classes, 4 years of language <---hardest course load.
8/174 (top 4%)
Excellent recs
Essay about my adjustment in moving back from Australia
Good consistent ECs (VP, V/JV golf, organizing stuff)

In addition, I also wrote a letter of strong interest, explain my dismay at not applying early decision, and the ways that I would commit myself to Cornell, and basically guarantee that I would accept their offer of admission.

REALLY smart of you to write that letter. =] i bet you'll get in just on that alone. I have similar stats, so you helped calm my nerves. i didn't apply to northwestern tho.

GOOD LUCK! with complete sincerity.

hey guys, u all have really good stats (from what im reading in this discussion) and majman, that was realy smart... i wish i did that

just keep your faith in yourself

good luck!

btw, which school did u apply to within cornell...that isalso a factor.

omg I didn't know people wrote letters like that...I should've, writing is the only thing I'm remotely good at. I didn't do ED because I can't afford the school w/out financial aid...I wish I wrote a letter and I wish I didn't apply to CAS since it's so hard to get in and my gpa sucks.

hahah majman i expressed the same kind of thing u cud say in my College interest essay. But dang that was smart. lol. guys its ok decisions will happen no matter what. So, there is nothing you could do to change them now. So its best to relax (and maybe catch up on hw) instead of wasting time worrying. Just some friendly advice. ;)

hey! I didnt know you could write letters like that. Gosh well too late anyways. Good luck everyone

Dangit, I got waitlisted at Hopkins, doesn't look good for Cornell....

i got waitlisted at jhu as well...

Stanford reject.......my confidence is gone

im holding on to a tiny bit of hope for cornell cause my decision was submitted the same time as someone who got a likely, 1:05 so im hoping it means something, doubtful but hope is better than not

ps. i got w8ed at NU plus JHU, so ya...

hey i got wait listed at NU too lol sweet. what college did u apply to at NU and cornell?

weinberg and then cas

oh nice i did engineering. This year is tough..... geez

yeah weightlisted at jhu =/ i blame it on my crappy essay... ahhhh I'm so depressed. I hope Cornell likes me because i sure love Cornell =]

did i say weightlisted? okay i was doing physics hw... =[
