Cornell Hotel School and my chances

I am a senior in high school currently with a 3.53 GPA,
My ACT scores are:
English: 26
Reading: 31
Math: 31
Science: 31
Composite: 30

I have unbelievable work experience, and very good recommendations, as well as family in the hotel school. What do you think my chances of getting in are.

what is the “unbelievable work experience”?
who is in the hotel school? A student, or a parent employed by the hotel school?
If your work experience is really “unbelievable”, it will thump everything else. By the way, how did you do on your interview? Did you go on campus? Good Luck

I interned at a restaurant run by 3 cornell hotel school alumni for a summer. I have a part time job at a local eatery. I am on a varsity soccer team that lost in the semi-finals at state. My interview went very well. My brother is at the hotel school. I have had a tour of the hotel school and the regular school.

Please respond thanks.

Are you doing ED? I think that’s good. Did the interviewer have some comments for you? If he or she says something like you really have a good passion then you are probably in. Hotel school is the one most focuses on legacy, having a brother attending Cornell is very good, and having him be to be in the hotel school is an advantage. Don’t worry, Hotel school doesn’t need crazy smart people. All they want is a good fit.

What does everyone else think?

I think you’ll probably get in, but don’t get too confident. Hotel admissions sometimes have no rhyme or reason to their decisions.

anyone else?

My interviewer ended with I am definitely going to recommend you get accepted into the program. I would love some more feedback from the CC community.

??? please respond ???

Everyone’s nervous…so stop fishing for reassurance. Who knows how it will go for anyone? Even solid, competent applicants get denied. You, like everyone else, will just have to wait. How many people have to say “you’re in” until you stop asking???

@Swimmer, so first off in case you are unaware this is a forum about Cornell. A forum is a place where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged. Second, your post contained nothing beneficial to anyone, your input is useless. Third, I am nervous, hence the thread about getting admitted… Fourth, like your parents probably told you, think before you speak or in this case, before you type

Academics don’t fit, your work experience is probably not “unbelievable” as you are able to relate it to us in under 30 words. That said, write good essays and you might get in. Ivy league acceptance is a crapshoot unless you are an URM Legacy Valedictorian Recruited Athlete who scored a 2400 on the SAT.
