Cornell Human Ecology - ED 2024

I did

I did too

I applied to the Human Development major. Is is really easier for males to get into that major? I hope. is anyone else super anxious about next week?

My alumni interview went so well. We linked on linkedin after and have continued communicating after our interview, he’s also anxious for next week… many of these interviewers are really cool.

Mine went so well. Super easy to talk to and lasted over an hour. We communicated via email afterward. He told me I would be a perfect fit. (more than once) that’s why I wonder how much weight it carries. We had so many interests and activities in common.

Beyond nervous. Starting to re-think my back up schools.

for my benefit, I hope they carry some weight. My interviewer also said that I was a perfect fit @Luckyjade2024 , hopefully we both get accepted, see you at Cornell.

My interviewer said she thought I’d get in… but I don’t want to have my hopes too high. I’m also thinking about the other schools I’m applying to, so that Cornell decisions don’t come to be a win or lose scenario.

I would hope the alumni would know not to mislead us. So I am hoping this is a good sign for us. By this time next week it will either be happiness or misery.

Unfortunately, alumni interviews don’t really carry much weight. But alums do know what a Cornell student looks like, so if they think you would make a great fit, they are probably right!

his words in his email to me were “I think you will be a great edition to the Cornell Family” …am I reading into this?

They also don’t know our stats, so all they can tell is really just “fit.”

I actually brought him my resume and he reviewed it.

@Luckyjade2024 Well, for most people who didn’t bring their resume, they can’t do much more then talk about how well we know Cornell and what we could do there.

@Argonauter …really? I though most bring a resume to interview. My GC said bring one to every interview, offer it politely and most will accept it. I keep a few copies in school in case something comes up.

@ardgz2020 what are your stats? I’m curious bcos I’m a dude and applied Ed as well

I made three copies of my resume and brought them with me for my interview. He asked for it very subtly asked for it

lol dont mind the errors. ***

@lpine23 I dont discuss my stats in these types of forums. I think it is bad juju LOL. Just feel confident with what your stats are, Cornell doesn’t accept all 4.0s and 1600s so.

@Luckyjade2024 Huh, that might be good advice, my guidance counselor didn’t have any advice on interviews…
