Can I get in if I have extremely strong prestigious ECs pertaining to the college with a 92 avg, good essays, good recommendations but a low act? ex: 27-28? Match wise my principle and guidance counselor told me I fit the college very well in terms of what I have done and accomplished. My only problem is that I can't seem to get a great ACT/SAT score. I'm just not good at standardized tests.

How have you prepared for standardized tests?

I’ve been practicing with a tutor…but it doesn’t help because I’m not a good standardized test taker. Especially on the science and critical reading section. I can’t perform so fast. I need time to analyze or decipher the question and information presented.

Have you taken a math subject test, and one other subject test? Cornell Human Ecology requires them, as I found out to my horror this summer. Good luck, maybe I’ll see you there!

I freaked out when I found out I needed a math SAT 2. I’m taking it November 6th. I also called HumanEc and they told me it was fine if I send my score in mid November (even if I’m applying early).
