Cornell ILR school atmosphere

I was wondering if anybody had any insight into the nature of the students in the ILR school? Is the competition cut throat like a top business program(ex. Wharton) or do the students collaborate and work together more? Is the reading in ILR excessive or manageable? And does ILR host its own special events/networking seminars? Any comments or anecdotes on any of the questions are appreciated. Thanks!

PS. I heard that the ILR and Hotel school are Cornell are the more "social" schools in Cornell.

ILR unofficially stands for I Love Reading. If you have a lot of reading, you get a lot of something else: essays!

IDK much about ILR but it’s smaller than A&S, Engi, or probably CALS, so theres more room for camaraderie between your ILR fellow students. There’s specific ILR colloquia that my roomate’s (ILR) is taking.

My roommate is taking 15 credits, which is average and he has plenty of room for reading, gaming, hanging out, and sleeping. (Not to say he is a slacker)
