Cornell ILR transfer chances for Fall'08

I just finished my first year at NYU, majoring in economics, and I will be applying to Cornell ILR next year as I have decided it is what I want to study. I believe it is the perfect program for me, so I was wondering if you guys could tell me whether or not I have a shot - be brutally honest!!!

Current school: New York University
Transferring to: Cornell ILR
Primary reason for transfer: I want to study ILR, which NYU does not offer.

Stats:

College GPA: 3.65 (hopefully a 3.7+ by end of next semester)

SAT's: 1910 <--- OUCH OUCH OUCH

EC's: NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer, Investment Analysis Group, Economics Club, NYU Student Council

This summer, I'm doing an internship with the Monitor Group, a top 5 management consulting firm.

I'm planning to make make my essays really strong about why ILR is a perfect fit for me and why I'm interested in it, because it is truly what I would like to study.

Any advice/comments would be greatly appreciated.

keep the gpa up (really avoid going any lower) and spend week after week writing/perfecting the essays ... then you'll have a solid shot

Thanks for the response - anyone else?
