Applying financial aid

If i think of anything else...I'll edit

Ok, my other concern is that i'll be filling out intended majors as Economics, business, but i got a b+ in AP stat sophomore year, and a b+ in bc calc this year with the possibility of a B. Would this make a big difference as these majors are so math-based?

The B+ in Calc might raise some eyebrows, but I think you would have a 90% chance of being accepted ED. Regular decision would be closer to 60% or so. Arts can be a crap shoot.

Good luck.

I think that you have a very good shot. Your scores and gpa are excellent. ecs look good too. Only thing you should be worried about is writing good application essays. Convey to the adcoms why Cornell is a good fit for you and talk about how you will take advantage of Cornell's academic resources. Esp. applying as ED, you have a very good shot. Also, getting one or two B+ here and there is no big deal. Just make sure to maintain strong grades overall.

FYI, there is no difference, realistically speaking, between a GPA of 3.94 and 4.0.

That GPA is 3.94 WEIGHTED, which might be a bit of a problem

I think your scores and ECs are enough to overpower a low unweighted (if it really is low). Apply early for sure, and I'd say you have a really good chance.

oh man, we have pretty similar stats. I had a 2340 and 800s on Math 2 and USH as well. obviously our ECs are different, but you definitely should have a pretty fair shot. My GPA was 3.76-3.77 when i applied (higher now) and I got into CAS as a Bio Major RD. so yea, you should be fine. just dont botch your common essay like i did. My weighted was in the region of the high 4.2s when I applied (my school offers like 30 aps, so most kids are bound to take 5-12 in hs).

haha wow! I have that exact same unweighted gpa...3.76ish

My school weights it +.5 for AP's, im taking 12 total, 30 or so total credits.

oh and in my county, 94-100 is an A instead of 90-100 like i'm told is the majority in the rest of the country, so on the "majority" grading scale, i would have pretty much a perfect gpa, 3.96ish unweighted, 4.15ish weighted

idk though if we are THAT much of a minority...correct me if i'm wrong.
