<p>If you turn your speakers up really loud, you can actually hear the yawn. And it actually is pretty loud/rude sounding. I would probably be annoyed by that too, but the prof’s reaction is still immature and inappropriate.</p>
<p>Yawning involves opening the mouth involuntarily while taking a long, deep breath of air. This is usually done as a result of drowsiness or weariness. Yawning is a normal response to fatigue and drowsiness.</p>
<p>The yawner in the class is either tired or bored.This not the same as not putting your phone on vibrate.
The instructor over reacted , and may have self esteem issues.</p>

<p>It is incredibly easy to make a yawn quiet and unnoticeable. The student was being intentionally rude and was just looking for attention. Well he got it.</p>

<p>I think I would have gotten in trouble if I was in that class. Not that I ever yawn loudly or anything, but I think I would have burst out laughing because the professor looked so stupid in his little rampage.</p>
