Cornell is not a legitimate ivy league

bump.... 10 char

Everyone who agrees please BUMP!

rofl

'nuff said

LOL bump.

Mean but very true

Ok, Cornell rejects need to get a life and stop making these threads. ;]

Bump Haha. I doubt he’s a reject; he’s probably just bored.

Except the Ivy League is a sports conference

Yay! I totally don’t agree with you. Cornell’s sports are phenomenal.

Now, I don’t see why people are still saying that Cornell’s not a legitimate Ivy League Schools.

In terms of ranking, Cornell is certainly not the lowest both in terms of undergraduate and graduate quality. USNWR ranks Brown last, while THES and ARWU rank Dartmouth and Brown last in the IL.

I wouldn’t take US News too seriously either; it ranked Cornell second in agricultural engineering and there is no agricultural engineering major at cornell.

One could say that is an argument for Cornell NOT being in the Ivy League…

And one could counter that argument by saying the Ivy League is the name of an athlectic conference…

OP seems to be a bitter U Penn student.

What is it with the U Penn kids on these forums?

Why do they act like life is so terrible for them?

Are they jealous of how awesome Cornellians are?

I think so.

Perhaps this article can give some perspective.

hahah. People always put so much stock into the word Ivy.

Does sarcasm always go over Cornellian heads? I was clearly making an insinuation about the inferior athletic prowess of the Ivy League, hence the remark that Cornell would be an outlier with “phenomenal” athletics. :p

of course cornell is not a legit ivy league, that would require multiple schools, there is only one Cornell university, so being an Ivy league would be an exercise in futility.

[spasm] why does this topic continue on despite its utter incompetence to make a point? [/spasm]

Why is there so much newfound anger from Penn students toward Cornell? It used to be Duke students who were always attacking Cornell.

Perhaps the similar admit rates have Penn students scared that their sense of superiority is coming into question.

no, it’s just EATYOURCEREAL
