Maybe it's all a test to see if you really have passion for your selected college, or if you were just going to any college under the Cornell name.

Nah. That could never happen.

Haha, that would be a nice little trick, conquestor. Honestly, I've began to become apathetic towards college in general lately. But don't get me wrong, I would still love to go to Cornell.

Hi

I am new here...Can anyone tell me what is CAS and CALS?
I have applied Engineering major at Cornell

Thanks

CAS = College of Arts and Sciences

CALS = College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

Cayuga: I actually didn't read that one yet. I figure I might as well not read threads that are so specific to life at Cornell since I did that for ED, got REALLY pumped for Cornell, and didn't get accepted. If I do get accepted, I will most definitely start reading those types of threads again.
Only 3 weeks until the deferred ED'ers (and RD'ers) find out!
I remember this time during ED... ahh how naive I was.

One last thing I'll mention. The lady who called is in charge of Latino admissions (I am part-Mexican), so I don't know what that means. Thanks for the help.

you sound like me... by the time all of the games were finished... as well as all the planning... I was so burnt out about college that I just didnt care much anymore. I felt it all came down to how one played the game ,whether you won or not.
A year later, with meeting some amazing profs. it comes down to what you make out of where you are. When the game is over, even the king ends up in the same box with the pawns. But miost games are challenging and fun.

also, if you get into CAS for fall term, you can always do an internal transfer into CALS. That's always an option =D
