it seems that there is only a 17% chance of getting into CAS.

does that mean u didnt get in?

Yeah I was rejected.

But... 33% acceptance rate to Engineering. At least one highly competitive applicant was already rejected....

The acceptance rate is nearly irrelevant in this case, since an applicant who some would consider highly competitive has been rejected.

Yes, I agree with the last statement.

Also, the acceptance rate for CAS is purportedly going to be even lower than 17% this year since 200 more people have applied.

annnnnnnnnd I've been rejected - CAS.

still no decison for me...

u go to the place to check application materials and status stuff to see ur decision right, i didnt get rejected but just dont know how to access my decision https://admissions.cornell.edu/selfservice/login.cfm

When the decision comes there will be a new link on your status page that says sth like "Check your decision".

i just noticed, nowhere in the cornell application is there a place to enter ur high schoo extra cirriculars, um, do they just not want to see it, or do we have to give it to them ourselves

i think i'm gona call tomorrow to see if its too late to like send them a "activity sheet".

actually, i didnt send a single activity sheet to any transfer school, i did w/ like freshmean applications, is this "natural"

also, do u think the fact that my cousin went to cornell is worth mentioning?

Matm1, what were your stats when you applied as a transfer student to Cornell university?

High School GPA: 2.7
College GPA 4.0 at 61 Credits
SAT I: 1580
SAT Writing: 800
Essay: Wrote a killer personal statement about how I missed most of 9th and 10th grade battling depression (hence my low GPA), but then worked on a political campaign and completed high school strong.
ECs: Badass stuff. Wrote an Op-Ed in the Washington Times. An Op-Ed in the Post, NYT, or Wall Street Journal probably likely before the end of the year.

Cornell is TEH GHEY.

EDIT:

I forgot to mention that I am also pretty good looking. I could lose maybe like 10 lbs, but still a hottie non the less: www.myspace.com/matm1.

Lol. Did you send a picture?

maybe they thought your fat friend was you lol

and it was a picture next to my really fat friend. I sent that picture on purpose in hopes that it would make me look even better. Maybe those bastards were onto my trickery.

I find this statement a bit shocking. Poor friend.
