Cornell Nanobiotechnology Summer Internship for HS Students

For those of you who applied to this 2-week program this summer, did anyone hear anything yet? I saw a thread from last year where some (but not all) of the applicants had received e-mails from them by the 3rd week of March requesting transcripts. It also sounds like only about 6 kids got admitted last summer - with a heavy emphasis on women and minorities.

I applied also and I have not heard back from them. yeah I'm really worried since it's april already.

The website said that decisions would be out by April 25. :] Good luck to you guys!

I applied too, do they base the decsion entirely on the letter of intent because beside that they don't much about you.

I think that they do it partially based on that, but a lot of it seems to be based on the numbers (SAT scores and all that), which I don't particlarly like about the program. They didn't even mention EC's or awards or anything that would give a fuller picture of you outside of the letter, and I used my letter as an essay as opposed to a "Here's all my wonder ECs so accept me now" type of a thing.

I also applied. They changed the award notification date from April 1st to the 25th on their website a while ago.

The program used to be five weeks long, but they shortened it to two this year.

Has anyone here done the program before? Is it a good experience?
