<p>If I turn in my enrollment fee through the mail this monday... when will I get my cornell net ID? I understand that meal plans/ dorm stuff is due on may 1st. What if they don't give me my net ID until after? Is there anyway to get a cornell net ID off the phone or from email rather than snail mail?</p>

<p>It took my son a week to get his netID (by email) after sending in his deposit, and he still has to wait for an activation code. You can apparently get your activation code by text message if you gave them your cell phone number when you applied. Otherwise and/or if that doesn’t work they will snail mail it to you 2 weeks (!) after sending your netID. </p>

<p>But fortunately you can still do the meal plan and dorm stuff without it, by using your applicant ID.</p>

<p>I’m not sure ap1234. But hopefully nothing you’d need to do before mid-May :)</p>

<p>For each thing you have to do, go to the link and see if you can sign in with your applicant id…</p>

<p>The option to log on with your app ID for housing was simple, but it took me a while to realize that there’s an option for that for the meal plans too.</p>
