Thank you mojojojo69. I had these rankings. U of T ranks 19th in engineering,
Cornell ranks 15th in engineering

To be honest, they arent THAT far apart from each other, and the goal here is to go to the best university with the least debt, because its a bargain. Get more for less ;)

mojojojo69, good advice.
Best of luck at UC-Berkeley.

Would you buy a car that you couldn't afford? Remember it's just an undergraduate degree. You got a great option and can save a lot money. If you can't go to the school without accumulation of debt... I wouldn't go. Save your money. Grad school is more important anyway. Listen to your parents!

McGill is a pretty decent university. It is pretty prestigious as well. If money is an issue, then go for McGill.

There are some things that you should pay attention to if you are going to McGill. Shops, stores, services around McGill campus may take advantage of the students. A friend of mine goes to McGill and it takes her $50 for one (yes! one!) passport photo.

Try to compare prices before you act.

If you are going to stay in Canada for your career, you should choose McGill. Canadians do not care about where you go for your education. Fors most of them, they simply choose their local schools, and the Ivy League was never heard of concept. For them all the colleges in the Ivy League are no name schools except Harvard.

MicGill is a school that accepts pretty much everyone who applies with 80% high school marks.
