Cornell or Emory?

Which school better prepares you for pre-med?
In your opinion, which school do you think has a better overall quality of life?

Weather and quality of life are probably a little bit better at Emory. Cornell is the better school in my mind. I’d go to Cornell.

Cornell

Cornell.

Can only speak about Emory but IMO it offers fantastic opportunities for engagement across a variety of fields. If you’re seeking medical related ECs, Emory has them in spades. After all, it’s literally across the street from the CDC, and has a number of hospitals within walking distance. If possible you should visit both schools. For what it’s worth, Emory has a higher percentage of smaller classes and a slightly higher per person endowment than Cornell (although both are among the highest in the nation).

Probably just about equal for pre-med. Maybe a tiny (though pretty much insignificant) advantage to Cornell. I would say Emory wins by far for quality of life. Cornell has quite the reputation for unhappy students and Emory has the opposite reputation.

Cornell will be ultra competitive and student body is smarter.
