Cornell or UVa (Dyson or McIntire)

I have only a few days to make my decision and I can't for the life of me make one.

I got into AEM at Cornell and got accepted to UVA. I am going for business if you couldnt tell and I cant decide. On one hand Im already in the Cornell business program. It is 5th in the nation and I really like Cornell. On the other hand, there is UVA, which I loved as a school, but I have to apply for McIntire after I have already attended.

Does anyone have any tips to make this decision easier?

Does anyone have some advice? I’m lost as towards making a decision.

It will be full price for each. So 40k Cornell and 50k UVa. Money is not a huge factor.

Both programs are well recruited. It’s also great that you can see yourself at either school. I think the only situation that could potentially go wrong is if you choose UVA and do not make it into McIntire (and this wouldn’d be the end of the world. Anecdotally I’ve seen non-McIntire UVA grads go on and do well in business).

In my opinion, if you are set on studying business, Cornell would be the safer and more logical choice, as you don’t need to reapply into the program. It’s not always about choosing the safest option, however. You have one shot at college. So choose well and listen to your heart as well!

Good luck with your decision! And let us know where you end up choosing!

If you like Ithaca and Cornell is $10k cheaper, it becomes the easy choice (as much as I too like UVa).

I concur with Bluebayou - Cornell sounds like an easy pick here.

Not to be a stickler, but Cornell is NOT ranked #5 for undergraduate business:
