<p>abike11, the number of applicants is increasing so the number of acceptances is decreasing but the yield is hard to predict. They only predicted it a few points lower than it was, so they weren't that far off.</p>
<p>The Tulane students are not back. There will not be a problem with housing. Cornell can definitely take care of just 240 more kids! That's only a handful.</p>
<p>housing won't be an issue. cornell has more than enough housing. i knew a bunch of people living in triples with only 2 people. also, we took in a lot of tulane students first semester, so we seem to be fine with housing.</p>
<p>240 kids is like one large lecture. stop worrying, it's inconsequential.</p>
<p>So does this mean we can expect they will accept fewer transfer students--and if so, will they do it now--or when other students in the 2010 class apply for admission?</p>
<p>Each college has it's own transfer system, so for all we know the one that you will apply to could be wanting transfers more than ever! (Glass half full opinion lol).</p>
