Cornell, Pop-Culture

I stole this from the folks over at Brown and had the brilliant idea to start this after I watched Citizen Kane.

Think of all the places Cornell is referenced in Movies, Books, etc. not necessarily just famous people who went to Cornell.

Citizen Kane- CFK was expelled by Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cornell and Switzerland

Simpsons: Sideshow Mel went to Cornell

apparently in "Made of Honor," the two main characters meet at Cornell and the beginning of the film starts at Cornell, however, it is not actually Cornell in the background.

This is a pretty good list of fictional Cornell, but by no means exhaustive:

Cornell Alumni Magazine - Stranger Than Fiction

This doesn't include instances where a fictional place strongly resembles Cornell, like in the books of Alison Lurie.

andy bernard from the office.

In Twilight - a book series and soon to be movie - one of the characters (Jasper Hale) studied philosophy at Cornell.

wellllll lauren weinberg (author of the devil wears prada) went to cornell...same with ruth ginsburg (supreme court justice)

kurt vonnegut went to cornell, a lot of the characters in his novels as well
