Dear Caillebotte,

Cornell University has extended its transfer application deadline until March 31, 2008. If you would like to apply for Fall 2008 transfer consideration, you will need to submit the Transfer Common Application and the Cornell Transfer Supplement electronically by the March 31 deadline. All other required application materials may arrive shortly after this deadline...

Best regards,

Transfer Coordinator

that would be amazing, but i've heard nothing of this. which colleges are you applying to? is there anything on their website that verifies this?

hmmm that's interesting. I didn't get that e-mail though. Is it bad that I didn't get it?

CALS bio science

i got it too. why do you guys think they pushed it back? also, i am applying to HE

Anyone applying to the college of Arts and Sciences get this e-mail as well??

I am thinking of applying to Cornell as well (CALS)....how come I did not receive that email. Did you all submit your Common Apps already?

Trixee - I'm also applying to CAS, but have yet to hear anything.

Are you guys on their mailing list? That could account for not receiving the email. I've corresponded with admissions before, so they have my contact info on file.

caillebotte is right, i got it too. im on the mailing list tho and talk to the adcoms like once a month regarding transfer evals.

Should I e-mail them?

I emailed them and they confirmed this. I never mentioned a school so I assume it doesn't matter.

As mentioned in a previous thread, Cornell isn't the only school pushing back their transfer deadline. Anyone have a guess as to the reasoning behind these extensions?

I called today and got confirmation of the deadline extension -- I inquired about CAS in particular.

Oh good! Thanks for letting us know. I'm pretty relieved...I have quite a few apps due soon.

Why did they push back the deadline this year? It seems that other colleges have this too.

There isn't anything on the Cornell Admissions site about this. I think I'm just going to try to finish my app by next Saturday anyways. I have nothing else to do this week anyways.

I hope it does not influence my chance to send it around Mar 28......i got tons to do this week, and have to go to a school trip for the whole spring break too! but now its a relief =D

btw....is admission on rolling basis? does it make a difference on my application if I send it earlier than later?
