nvm! I found out, haha.

The 29th couldn’t come soon enough - I just wanna know where I’m going and my top as of now are Cornell and Notre Dame. I’m just terrified of getting a guaranteed transfer. :(

Same, acciocollege… GTs are just a horrific ordeal :(

Still better than nothing at all.

Congrats on all the likely letters! I got in ED, back in december and have been anticipating next august for a very long time.

Any fellow Houstonians? math/physics majors? CAS?

So im also a female engineering student who recently received a likely letter.
what i was wondering was how everyone feels about the rigor of cornell. It seems like most on this thread are average (but studious) h.s. seniors with many interests which is how i would describe myself.
Would attending cornell for engineering mean four years of hell? Although i am eager and motivated to learn i still want to have fun in college!! how do you all feel?

Engineering is a very tough major regardless of the school.

8 days, y’all.

Just checked my mail and got the scariest looking envelope from the Cornell office of admissions. Thought it was a rejection letter but turns out they were just once again thanking me for my application and letting me know when decisions will be released on the portal… why did they have to send me such an official looking envelope just to tell me that!! I nearly had a heart attack when I was opening it!

I don’t have a job (so no income), just logged into my cornell account & it says “Fed Tax Return-Student” on the to-do list. It was due Feb. 15 (even though it doesn’t apply to me). I was apparently supposed to send them an “excuse sheet,” regardless? I never got an email about this–does that mean I was rejected??

Cornell doesn’t normally update students about missing fin aid info. If you didn’t file taxes, you had to submit a non-filer statement found on their website.

http://www.finaid.cornell.edu/sites/default/files/NonFileStudent%202011.pdf

^yes, I just noticed that. Shoot, does that mean if I’m accepted, I won’t know my financial aid package until much later??

I thought I had a pretty solid chance at Cornell, but I don’t see the May financial aid deadline others have been talking about. Is that an indicator of rejection?

Yeah, I got a really weird letter from Cornell today too… It just thanked me for my application and told me when results would be coming out, which I already knew. I feel like this message means something…

I got one as well. What undergraduate college did you guys apply for?

All the people who got the letter today, does your cornell portal say your financial aid stuff is due in May?

I applied to the college of human ecology ED and was deferred ( )
still keeping my fingers crossed though. i love love love cornell and really do not want to be anywhere else.

^^@collegeinfo1994
I got an acceptance email last week [diversity hosting thing], and my financial aid stuff has some IRS verification thing that is due in May, so if yours says that, I’m pretty sure it means you’re in.

Does anyone’s (who applied for FA) portal NOT show up with the IRS verification forms?

Also I never got the letter about decisions coming out…ahhhh

My financial aid was sent in a little bit late, but hasn’t been updated yet.
Also, chill about the letters, they probably aren’t all going to show up on the same day…that’s the problem with mail instead of e-mail

Yeah, I didn’t get the letter either, but I live in Texas so it might take longer to get here (if it was sent).
