i live in california, CHE & received the letter. totally thought it was a rejection, ugh…is this something they send out to everyone? (at this point i’m just digging around for some slim hope LOL)

I live in New York and no letter. I guess they’re unthankful for my application.

@supergrover where is the IRS verification on your portal? in the documents section?
@laughingly hmm i think it might be by college…? i applied to human ecology, maybe only some colleges send out these letters.

it seems like they might have only sent it out to CHE applicants…?

Anyone from CAS get it?

Texas too, and no letter…yet

TN. no letter.

I applied to CAS, so maybe that’s why I didn’t get a letter. Oh well…I’ll just wait for the actual admission decision.

I’m from CAS and I got a likely letter because I was invited to diversity hosting

i applied to cas and was invited to the dean’s scholar open house :)

TX. No letter also.

CA, received CHE letter today.

Ohio. CHE. No letter :(

By the way, about the Financial Aid thing… I thought Financial Aid and Admissions were totally separate…? So shouldn’t everyone pretty much have the same list? (I have a Verification WS and an IRS Transcript thing due in May)

Does the admissions office give the names of admitted students to the financial aid office after decisions have been made? (That’s how it works at Harvard.)

^I would imagine so. It doesn’t make much sense for the FA office to go through all the FAFSA’s and determine aid, when they can just go through a fraction of them as the list of accepted applicants comes. I think the separation of Admissions and FA only matters until a decision has been made for the applicant(s), so that there is no income-bias. After that I don’t think it would really matter if the FA office knew that the particular applicant(s) was accepted.

Oh! I guess that makes sense and we’ll find out soon if it has any meaning to it…

But in the mean time, I hope the people are right and the May deadline means something good… hehe (:

FYI,
Yeap, it is official that our regular decision will be known starting at 5:00 pm on March 29th. I just got an email alert with login/PIN information.

Hmm… I applied to CHE, so maybe it is by college? Not sure…

Oh, this might be a random/late question, but do you guys think it’s harder to get into a specific college than another? CAS compared to CHE, for example?

Just got the notification email. March 29th. Good luck to everyone!
