just waiting on my two ivies now. It’s not looking good though because even if I’m accepted I don’t think we’ll be able to afford it, so i’m not as enthusiastic as before… but one can hope

I just received an email from an alum saying she wanted to interview me. I applied for ilr and arts and sciences and I thought Cornell didn’t normally do interviews except for the hotel school and aaap…

That’s not really what Cornell considers an interview. DD had her information alumni “meet and greet” - these interviews have little influence on actual admissions. At the most, they gauge your real interest in the school.

I graduated from the Hotel school back in the day (required interview on campus) , while my sister graduated ILR (alumni interview). Standard fare.

how does cornell notify you of your decision and how long does it typically take from the time you apply, thanks?

It’ll be at the end of march and they’ll email you what to do 2 days before or so

dah thats so long

Any Hotelies haha?? I don’t think there’s any other program in the country I’d rather be in come September…

hi guys! international asian applicant here :\ the wait is killing me, and it’s not even halfway through february yet. ughh.

argasdgfsadkfj;salkdfj

@pch430 hotelies have to dress up on Fridays for participation grade?

@lilredboxes, I completely agree with you, waiting for the end of March is extremely difficult especially since I am so impatient lol. I am hoping for the best since my friend was accepted ED and my GPA and SAT scores are much higher than hers.

@lifeisbeautiful, yes, I heard that too haha…not sure if it’s true or not. We were required to wear a full suit for the interview so I wouldn’t be surprised.

anyone apply to CALS? with what major? i applied for interational and rural development

Anyone know when like letters come out?

@lexie…if you get one, it would be in mid-March, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

@pch340 how do you know that? A lot of other ivys already sent out likely letters…

@lifeisbeautiful

that’s when a lot of Cornell applicants received them last year. Late February - mid March

@pch340. Thanks for the info :)

Are likely letters mainly offered to URM’s and female engineers?

It looks like notification day will be March 28th. I went to the Cornell housing site to check out housing options and it says that we can start to sign up for housing on March 29th at 12:00 pm.

Go Big Red!!!
