Cornell RD Class of 2022 Applicant Thread

Has anymore SHA applicants received any decisions??

Did anyone get a letter for AEM/Dyson

@flylikethesun Congrats!!!
@creampuff72 I applied to CALS for biological sciences.

Got my diversity email at 8 AM today! I applied to CALS to major in biological sciences. For reference I am a Hispanic female in Miami. Congrats to everyone who got theirs as well!

Likely letter for my DD, Engineering major!!!

I didn’t not hear back from from in particular, I just got the diversity hosting letter. I applied there so I’m assuming that hat is the school I was accepted to @ivyboundhopefully

If you don’t get a WIE letter and you’re a WIE does that mean I probably won’t get in?

Received a likely letter, WIE!!

Got the diversity hosting letter/likely and I’m in HumEc! Reading up on some information on the website, it says that it was offered to about 450 students. So if you didn’t get one, you’re definitely not in the minority (haha pun). Good luck everyone!

Hey sorry this is late but I got a Likely letter to CALS for biological engineering this morning

sorry if im late to the game, but I received a diversity hosting email, which said “you will be admitted to Cornell’s class of 2022”. As a paranoid person, is this true, or has there been a mistake that anyone knows of? if its not, does this email mean that I got in as a normal student, not through some sort of weird program?

Im a hispanic female from florida.

Thanks!!

I’m in the same boat as @az1698 I’m a Hispanic female from CA and got a diversity letter. Does this mean I’m actually, seriously admitted? Is there no doubt?!

@Pianomonster20 . Regarding WIE likely letters, I’m assuming most female admitted engineers are not receiving these letters. Last year, the Engineering school accepted 800 females (415 enrolled). I think it’s unlikely 800 likely letters were sent out. Would be kind of unfair to make all the males wait an extra 2 weeks. These letters are saved for just not the strongest applicants but also the most sought after applicants. These are often applicants who Cornell thinks may likely be admitted to many other top schools, such as MIT, and who also have multiple strong hooks. All schools are looking for the strongest, most diverse class possible. The postings today prove this assumption.

@az103 @booksandbaking YES you are admitted Congratulations!!! no weird program

@BigApple2018 thanks for answering!! Is it normal though to have gotten that email and have nothing on the portal??

Thank you!

@ivyboundhopefully I received a diversity hosting email at 8 a.m. today and I applied to AEM/Dyson. I saw it right before I took a Calc test lmao

@az103 I think that’s normal; I got the email as well and my portal has nothing.

@halfdust I got into Dyson as well. Coincidentally I felt my phone buzz during my calc test I had today lmao. I got excited about it but I didn’t want to be too noticeable or anything since some people were still testing :stuck_out_tongue:

Any prediction on when acceptances will be made for not URM? My S is OOS and applied CALS
