Thanks ojeshsh.I received an email saying the same.

Hey Iâm an international and I got one, reads slightly differently from ojeshsh though

I got one for engineering (Iâm a female). woot woot!

got a likely letter today! #femaleengineerperks XD

@pipilaula and @alwaysonmytoes, did you receive your letter in the mail or through an email? CONGRATS!

I received an email likely letter today from Cornell Engineering! (Iâm an Asian female)

I just got one too!!! (female engineer)

Got mine today. Male Asian.
âI am writing to let you know that the admissions selection committee has completed its review of your application for admission to Cornell University. Although the Ivy League member institutions will not officially notify Regular Decision applicants of their decision until March 27, it may help you with your planning to know that you will very likely be admitted to Cornell University.â
The following paragraph invited me to Cornell Days.
Are recipients of likely letters admitted? Can I breathe a sigh of relief now?

c0llagen I just read the cornell online admissions document and from what it says:âInstitutions may issue likely letters only in writing, from the office of admission. Likely letters will have the effect of letters of admission, to be confirmed on the common notification date, subject to revocation only on the same terms as letters of admission.â
I think that means your in :)

I got one yesterday! Female engineer. Never thought Iâd ever get the chance to say that congrats to everyone else!

@5VOtcNQB I am international as well but what did yours say?
I applied to CAS.

did no one get CAS likely letters?

Can people get in without a likely letter?

@actsat2400 I applied to CAS and I received a likely letter unlike the CoE that is directed to female engineers there was nothing CAS specific in the letter I received.
And yes many people get in without likely letters. Not all admitted students receive likelies only a few I heard receive likelies.

@Foriya Mine said âAlthough the Ivy League member institutions will not officially notify Regular Decision applicants of their decision until March 27, it may help you with your planning to know that you will very likely be admitted to Cornell Universityâ It then went to on to talk about how Iâd find out about any possible financial aid I might recieve. I applied to Dyson in CALS

@actsat2400 people can definitely get in without a likely letter

My D received likely letter for engineering the same day she was also admitted to MIT. I am guessing the timing is not coincidence. Other than female, no URM or FA.

The vast majority of accepted students do not receive likely letters. These are often sent for a specific reason and plenty of superstar applicants get accepted without getting a likely letter.

So I got something a little different. Same as op in that it says âAlthough the Ivy League schools will not officially notify students about admission until early April, it may help you with your planning to know that we are very interested in you.â Huuuuhhhhh? I thought admissions decisions released on March 27th??? Anyway, it says âwas very impressed with your application and has nominated you as a Pauline and Irvine Tanner Deanâs Scholar.â Does this mean that this is a likely letter + I got a scholarship of the $600 book award and a grant for the summer between jr and sr year? I applied CAS. I read that it means it is, but it just seems weird that it says ânominatedâ not âawardedâ or something.

@foriya
Was it the diversity letter?

@iloverainbowsyo It wasnât a diversity letter but in mine I was invited to attend Cornell days program.(I would also like to extend an invitation to you to consider attending our annual Cornell Days program, which takes place on select days from April 11-21 (cornelldays.cornell.edu).
But I am an international applicant and but I doubt if that automatically makes mine a diversity letter cos others were invited to the diversity housing.
