Likely letter! >>> (diversity) African-american female who applied for chem. Honestly, it feels like it came out of the blue… was not expecting it at all, but who’s complaining!! Congrats to the rest of you :))) Hope you enjoy the next four years wherever you may end up!

@somethingsmart congrats! when did you get the letter? was it by mail or by email?

@foriya are you a tanner dean’s scholar?

@c0llagen are you engineering?

Did these come in the mail or through email?

@iloverainbowsyo no I am not.
Congratulations to all who received liklies. I am still amazed at mine. Such a blessing!

I’m a 1/2 white 1/2 Indian male and I got the Tanner Dean thing like @Whatdoyouthink! It means we’re admitted!

@19KLS96 mine came via email.

Is the diversity letter everyone’s referring to the email about diversity housing?

I got the diversity letter as well…so I’m assuming I can relax a little. I mean, would they give out the letter but then change their mind if the student hasn’t done anything? lol I’m just shell-shocked by this.

Congrats to everyone who got early notification from Cornell!! Just wondering, did any ASIAN MALE get a likely to the College of ENGINEERING? Seems like so far all CoE likelies have been girls.

@akashaka woot! And I found it. We still have to apply for the grants. So basically we still have to compete for the money beyond the book award but odds of getting a grant are really really high lol w/e acceptance is enough to make me super happy. Few weeks ago thought I was not going to get accepted by any college. I doubted myself hard. But now I’m like March 27th plz come sooner. haha

If you live in Texas, do you still think there’s a possibility i might get likely letter within the next week?

@TylerTheCrater it’s pretty unreasonable to expect a likely letter… Most of the applicants who are better than me didnt get one anyways. You will hear in 11 days no matter what just relax

@akashaka I think I know who you are…

@iloverainbowsyo do we know each other? Haha inbox me

Did anyone receive a likely letter for CALS? Wonder why likely letters are only sent to some. What do they base this on?

Um, whether or not they want the student? lol @happy2014

It’s not really a likely letter it’s an early notification. Cornell is paying for travel food housing etc, so it makes sense not everyone gets it. I recieved one, but don’t give up hope.

For those who have received likely letters, did it come via the mail? Also, is there anyone who received a likely letter who is not an URM or international student? Thanks.
