<p>Definitely has the makings of a strong admissions cycle [both ED and RD] for Cornell.</p>

<p>All of the Ivies except Princeton have reported their total applications for the Class of 2016. Only 3 [Cornell, Yale, and Dartmouth] have had increases this year in their total number of applicants. Cornell registered the largest absolute increase year-to-year, just slightly larger than Yale’s increase.</p>

<p>I don’t think this was a very large reason - but it may certainly contribute to like say .5%</p>

<p>It was announced like 10 days before the application deadline; I don’t think it had any substantial impact on the increase this year…Maybe it will in coming years though :)</p>
