Cornell Rescission?? (Transfer student)

Hello,
I wanted to see if anyone has heard of or been in a similar position as this:

I was admitted as a transfer student to Cornell’s College of Human Ecology. The acceptance letter said, as most acceptance letters do, that the offer is made pending satisfactorily completing current courses (As and Bs). I received a C-, an outlier among my As and Bs, and have relayed this information to the admissions office. They have not gotten back to me yet, but sounded encouraging on the phone. To clarify, i am NOT among guaranteed transfers, but applied this fall.

Does anyone know the likelihood of them rescinding my acceptance?? I have already withdrawn my other schools and am very worried!

They most likely won’t rescind for a single C. A D or F would have been much worse. If you have any extenuating circumstances make sure to report them. I’m no admissions officer, but from what I’ve read it seems like they want to see a continuation of the grades you applied with. If you applied with a C in any class, that decreases the chances of being rescinded substantially. I can’t give a definite answer because each case is different. Just be totally honest with admissions. Good luck hope everything turns out alright!
