Cornell Rocks!! This Place Is Awesome

I encourage all of you to apply! I feel like I died and went to heaven. I love this place. It's much better than Penn!
Apply!

YEAH, I'm doing it!

Oh yes I will. I want to ED. But who knows if I’ll make it.
Just fell in love with it when I went there last week to drop off my brother. Had gone for 2 interviews for perspective students at Yale and Wellesley before dropping him off. The interviews went well but lo and behold when I saw Cornell!!!!!! I mean love at first site. What a campus and what a quaint little town.

What about it makes the place awesome?

I'm in a very social floor and have great people on my floor, the place is gorgeous, my classes so far are very interesting. My roommate and I get along well, the food is delicious, I have an indoor storage area in my dorm building for my bike, there's a full kitchen on my floor...everything is great.
Who can ask for more!

The food is delicious? That's it, applying ED for sure.

woooohoooo CORNELL!!!!!

Haha ED coz of the food? Lol. Dartmouth also has supposedly awesome food, FWIW

This place is definitely amazing. Have you been to the gorges yet? You can actually slide down the cascading waterfall as if it's a waterslide. And then there's gorge jumping for the brave. This is the gorge near Fiji that I'm talking about btw. Then there is a lot of room for wading and chilling for the not so brave. The views are awesome too. And the night life is definitely a lot of fun. And I've met SO MANY international students! It's great!!!

(trying to throw in stuff the person above me didn't yet!)

Dulche got rejected from Penn. Despite being a URM and a legacy.

JohnnyK does sick things to himself that I shouldn't mention in public. Oh, and he stalks people on college confidential.

lol...cornell is awesome...the people are the best part...

though one of my roomies is uber conservative!

what's wrong with that? :D

^ He's uber conservative...

LOL. Don't get on JohnnyK's case too much, Sloewlap. Dulce de leche did get a little sour-grape after he was rejected ED at Penn. You can look back in the Penn forum. I was deferred at Wharton and then rejected. Now I am at AEM at Cornell. I love it here and considered myself very fortunate. My brother goes to Penn. I would say they are both fine schools and they are different in student composition, scenery and atmosphere. But they are both awesome in their own right. Cornell students so far, I have found in comparison to Penn's students, are more innocent, possibly less complex and streetwise, but just as intelligent but more easy going. There is just a sense of good old American wholesomeness and gentility here. The classes have been very interesting although they are big. Well one thing that just stand out and Penn can't absolutely compared is the dorms. They are just awesome. I feel like Iam living in a resort!

Completely off topic but I love dulce de leche (the actual food). :o

oh yeah and I'm a she. I'm not "uber" conservative....hehehe. I just ... ok maybe a little. But I don't like to fight politics with anyone (discussing in a civil environment is ok), so it works out :)

I love Cornell too! especially the food. I'm going to weigh a lot more than I did when I came. At the moment, I've lost weight, but after my body gets used to all the walking, I'll gain again :)

OH yeah..my dorm is gorges, too. YOu must be in Mews or Court, right? I've stayed in hotels that don't look as nice as my dorm!

"the place is gorgeous"

You think it's gorgeous now, report back after the 2nd week of October.

Ithaca is gorgeous and especially in the fall - but just wait until the dead of winter!!!
