Cornell school rankings!!

Can anyone list the schools in order of admit rate (difficulty of admission) from easiest to hardest?

i'm particularly interested in hotel.. does anyone know anything about the hotel school.. (like, anything)

i don't think any of them are easier or harder to get into...
although the number of students they accept in all the schools are different
architecture and art has the lowest, then hotel, industrial and labor relations,
human ecology, engineering, and then agriculture and life sciences
while arts and sciences has the highest

I'm not sure of any rankings, but I can tell you the Hotel School admissions are different than the other colleges. A great amount of weight is placed on work experience in the hospitality industry, leadership positions, and your on-campus interview.

Anything in particular would you like to know? I'm in love with the Hotel School and was accepted ED, so I'd be happy to help. :)

if ur undecided and decided to do engineering (from CAS), are you allowed to transfer? if so, how hard is it?

Transferring from one college to another is relatively easy, though it should be noted that going into the engineering or art, architecture, and planning schools would be harder than others. I have also heard transferring into Hotel is not that easy. However, the process itself is not bad, from what I've heard.

Also, the schools each look for certain things. Certain ones are really not any easier than others. What would be accepted at one may not be at another.

haha i decided i don't want to commit myself to that career path yet, but thanks anyway hotelie =)

and thx for comments, i'll be applying CAS!
(btw if u don't mind me asking, where in nj are u from? n.? s.? central?)

Northern Jersey. Woot-woot! How about you? Good luck at CAS, perhaps I'll see you around anyways!

haha yeah maybe
central ^^ yay for NJ

engineering is the easiest to get in to, you can figure out the others by yourself

wow, I've always thought engineering is the hardest to get into in any college...

i was under the impression that engineering is usually the easiest to get into for most colleges. (unless, of course, the engineering program is like the gem of the college)
and then usually the most work as well

also, thanks!

i'm calculating acceptance rates (for FEMALES only)

ALS: 30%
(Agriculture & Life Sci.)
AAP: 24%
(Architecture)
AS: 25%
(Arts & Sciences)
Eng: ha.. 55%
(Engineering)
HA: 23%
(Hotel Admin)
HE: 36%
(Human Eco)
ILR: 39%
(Industrial)
overall: 30% accepted
overall: 51% entered

sry, guys, you'll have to figure yours out yourself. i think the biggest discrepancy would be in engineering.. just assuming.. 33% for males

Engineering has the highest acceptance rate, but also has the highest average statistics (SAT, GPA/Rank). The pool for Engineering is self-selective.

good point
