I'm aware that Cornell does not participate in score choice, but score choice only involves the SAT. I never took the SAT, but I have taken the ACT twice and I'm only planning on sending my higher score. I just want to make sure I'm not screwing anything up b/c I'm sending it this weekend :)

Oh, btw I'm applying to ILR and that does not require any SAT IIs.

This is from the Cornell website:
"Note that Cornell requires students to submit all scores from SAT tests taken and does not participate in the College Board’s Score Choice."

It depends on the college, but I called. You can put in the higher ACT score.

@Autumn97 Oh okay thanks!

I think they want all tests from either ACT or SAT. I called and asked last year. Didn’t have to send the SAT but since sending the ACT, they wanted both of the ACTs taken. This wasn’t bad since they look at your highest scores, while they don’t call it superscoring, it kind of sounded like it was.

We were confused by the description and that’s why I called admissions last year. Twice. This is the kind of thing you want Cornell to clarify for you. Especially when there are various opinions! They may not know what tests you took, but it’s too important to risk. Good luck.

@Renomamma True, I think I’m going to send all my scores. Thanks a lot for your help!

I asked them specifically and they said you can choose the ACT you wish to send. Then I asked if I can use superscore and only send my subject tests. They said yes I can superscore for the Subject tests. It’s only all for the SAT reasoning. This is CoE BTW

That could’ve been the answer we got too. Now I don’t remember, but sent both ACTs in case they “superscored”.

Oh darn…a number of people told me to send all of them, so I already did. Oh well, I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Wait, I actually submitted a question to Cornell through their website a couple of days ago and they finally answered! It stated:

“Cornell does not utilize score choice. We do however super score, which means we will only consider your highest scores. We ask that you please send all scores.”

Still an ambiguous answer…sigh.

Airspirit- just call admissions. They will answer to your satisfaction so it’s clear.
