I know it’s a bit early, but is anyone looking to apply to Cornell for spring 2017?
As in applying to transfer as an incoming sophomore or junior during the spring of 2017?
Either one! I’m applying as a second semester sophomore
I am planning to transfer to ILR for SP17
Awesome, I’m looking to apply to CAS. Have you guys started your applications yet?
Hey guys! I’m interested in transferring for spring 2017 too! I don’t have high hope of getting it, but I’d like to be positive and give it a try!
@transferx222 That’s a good attitude to have! Better to apply and know than not to apply at all.
I am shooting for ILR!
I’m going for CAS! The one with a ~7.5% acceptance rate…
I really wish Cornell had a general transfer acceptance rate
Applying as a Junior Transfer. Best of luck to everyone
Just submitted my Common App, good luck guys!
@jonesby Already? Why did you do that?
@Division1to100 I’ve been revising my essays and mapped out my application since March. I haven’t submitted Cornell’s supplement yet. I already sent in my transcript, college report, and high school transcript. I’ve had everything together for a while.
@jonesby I see. Well I commend your foresight, what level transfer are you?
@Division1to100 I’m applying as a second semester sophomore, how about yourself?
GUYS. Why is everyone applying as a second semester sophomore? why not first semester sophomore? Will your chances be higher?
No first semester sophomores are going to comment in the second semester thread. The acceptance rates are about the same for fall and spring.
@Princetonian9 I’m doing it just to have an extra semester there, get some prerequisites out the way, and not have to wait for fall 2017. Competition may be less fierce because applying as a first semester sophomore means your high school years are weighed more heavily.
@jonesby Oh. That makes sense. Can you apply as a first semester sophomore and if you get rejected can you apply again next semester? Idk just in case
@Princetonian9 I believe so. Some schools don’t allow two applications within the same calendar year, but I don’t believe Cornell is one of them. I might be wrong, however.
