Cornell Spring 2017 Transfer

I know that but I can’t let my UR acceptance slide on the, what, 5% chance that I get accepted to CAS? =/ Especially since I’ve already asked them to extend the deadline 3 times.

It seems like rejections come out throughout the morning and acceptences are in the late afternoon. Anyone else concur?

I thought it was usually Tues or Thurs @ 10 AM regardless

Everyone from CAS needs to go try to reset their pin! In past threads, I haven’t seen anyone have to wait so long for a decision… I have to wait a whole 'nother 8 days! Usually when people check they can view it the NEXT day. Is anyone from CAS able to view it tomorrow?

@jonesby I’ve never noticed a difference between viewing it in the morning vs viewing in the afternooon. I will say that in previous threads it looks like week one is acceptances, then week 2 is rejections, and week 3 has a mixture of acceptances and rejections.

I’m probably rejected then if anyone can see their decision tomorrow

How can you reset your pin and where do you go to view when your decision will be released?

https://decision.applyyourself.com/fl_login.aspx?id=cornellu

“Forgot PIN or password” or whatever it says underneath. Enter your email, if you decision is in the system it will send you an email with your PIN and a link to make a password.

Nothing for me… tried to reset pin but cant view

You can’t reset your pin or can’t view your decision?

When i enter my email to reset and it says pin not found.

Oh ok. I submitted my app in September so maybe it goes in order?

Maybe. But decisions are released based on applicants likelyhood of admittance. They group applicants and begin accepting the best applicant and rejecting the worst. The admittance committee at cornell makes decisions on a unanimous basis and it takes time for borderline decisions.

@Davemit Oh wow, I had no idea the process was like that. I’m especially worried about a rejection letter because of a C+ I got in Statistics, even though I have all A’s in everything else. I guess I wouldn’t totally mind a rejection since Amherst is my first choice, but still, I’ve always wanted to attend Cornell. One encouragement that I’ve come to understand that, in the case of a community college student from my home state, a rejection from Cornell doesn’t mean you can’t get into a schoo like Columbia.

Is anyone able to reset their pins yet?

Lol @jonesby I straight up failed my anthropology class plus 2 fs and a c from my first flunked semester of community college ten years ago. All A’s since then except one B in differential equations. Try not to stress too hard, especially if your major isn’t math related.

Well I could @Davemit

@mrsblaileen I was able to reset my pin and got the same 11/22 decision date. I can’t login to housing either. :frowning:

Ok cool @Elvisgp good luck! Are you CAS?

@mrsblaileen Yeah, applied as an English Major in CAS.

The housing thing is worrying me a lot. Time to go research the past transfer threads and see what happened to people in similar situations…not looking too great right now :frowning:

On the bright side, at least you can finally commit to UR.
