1 thing I know for sure about getting into Cornell is showing them a good reason why you want get in (not only because it's an ivy league school).
I would like to participate in Cornell's summer program but, my questions are,

Will that help me get in Cornell if the Admission people see I have been the before?

i think if anything, it just shows them that you are interested in cornell.

i dont really think it aids admissions much at all. i will be attending summer college this summer and hope it helps...yet i dont think it is much much aid

It really doesn't help at all. All the summer programs at the various colleges are just a way for the colleges to get more money and to get kids to become interested in their school.

of course it can help, a lot, or also ruin any chance you had. don't let anyone tell you it doesnt matter. if you go and get b's or better plus recommendations from your prof. you can sure as hell bet it will help. if you get c's or worse, dont count on it helping and it may even hurt. if you are stupid and get kicked out for smoking weed or drinking, don't bother applying.

i went and got A's plus recs from profs and it definitely helped.
