I want to apply for the Cornell Summer program but I fear I may not be able to do so well. I want to take Psychology, but I don't know how hard it's going to be. Also, is it easy to get lost in the city since it's new? Thanks

buummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmp

anyone? wth??

I went to summer college this past summer. My roommate took the psych class, and I think she enjoyed it. Her class started at 10, so it was nice for her to sleep in (meanwhile, my class started at 8:30). She seemed to really enjoy the smaller group discussions with her TA. As for how hard it was, I think she did okay. There were a few papers to write, but nothing too bad.
The campus is very big and seems intimidating, but you get to know it quickly. There are lots of summer college students who can help you find your way. My friends and I took the bus to the mall, walked to collegetown and downtown Ithaca, and hiked through the gorges no problem. I wouldn’t worry about getting lost - Ithaca is not NYC.

Anyway, I think you should go for the program. It was the most amazing experience for me. I learned about a lot about Cornell and the Hotel School (I took Hotel Operations Mgmt). It was also nice to experience college life and living away from home. I would strongly encourage you to apply!
