I'm wearing my cornell sweatshirt our to dinner while skiing, and this lady says to me, "Oh, do you go to Cornell.....or are you just wearing the sweatshirt?"

Good thing for her I got accepted or that would have been one awkward conversation. I thought the 2nd part of her question just goes unsaid; evidently Cornell needs to offer courses in tact, lol. (she mentioned she was an alum)

My other favorite thing about wearing the sweatshirt is when people inform me that cornell is "a really good school." no way!?!? I just applied there 'cause I like the color red, big hills, and perpetual sleet 3 seasons of the year...

Oh yeah, and my last favorite thing about the sweatshirt is that its mad warm.

yeah i get that too when i sport my cornell gear, at least its better than wearing a dartmouth shirt and people saying "i've never heard of that school" or wearing a PENN shirt and people saying "oh penn state, good football"

I love my Cornell sweatshirt - it is SO SO warm and comfy. So far, a bio teacher at my school has seen my shirt and shouted "GO CORNELL!!" and another teacher stopped me in the hallway to ask me if I was going (I'm assuming he's an alum).

my classmates regularly try to scare the **** out of me by high-fiving the big red paw pring on the back of my sweatshirt. Quite disturbing in the middle of a Stat test.

That's so funny, Sparticus! I have a pretty good "Cornell Sweatshirt Story", too.

I have 2 tees and 2 sweatshirts, and I often wear them to work. (I work at a florist's during the week.) There is this one customer who comes in all the time, and asked me if I was attending next year. I told him I got in ED for the Hotel School, and he told me that is where his daughter is looking. Now he literally comes in twice a week just to ask me questions about the school, and even brought his daughter in the other day. I feel like I'm getting paid to give out information about Cornell! :)

OMG i just wore my cornell sweatshirt for the first time today at school. i got it indecember but i was too afraid to wear it to school until this morning....it was a huge step for me. whenever anyone who i know applied to cornell saw i would try to smush up the sweatshirt so u couldn't see the name. haha i felt bad. i guess i'm just too nice.

I felt the same way, but its been so long people should stop being sensative and start dealing with it. I waited until late january to wear mine.

I have THREE cornell sweatshirts. I love em' all, but two are big hooded ones from the cornell store and they're really soft, warm...and um...say Cornell on the front. I wear them all the time, but i don't have any good stories yet...

what do you guys think about the "its lonely at the top" t-shirt at ivysport.com, i'm sure it would **** off other ivy league students at my school

I wore mine a few months before I got in, and I was so afraid I was going to damn myself in the ED process. If I didn't get in, I think I would have cried as I folded it up and put it away forever! lol

i wore mine junior year, because i knew cornell was my first choice back in march of that year, but i didn't wear it senior year until i got in, it would have been bad luck

I wear my safety school sweatshirt now. I'm very pessimistic about my Cornell verdict :(. Hopefully in a few days to a month (Hooray for CALS unpredictable RD rolling process!) I'll be wearing a Cornell shirt.

Worst case scenario: I get rejected from Cornell, but I still show up to the campus dressed up in Cornell gear and sit in on some classes and maybe they'll just be like "Oh.. we must've accidentally left this young man off our roster!"
