Cornell: the toughest Ivy??

I believe Cornell has the reputation of being a pressure cooker-meaning that it has the toughest cirriculum of all the ivies. Is this true?

i've heard that too....i hope it isnt true

Wow even if it is I still want to go there !!!

what ppl say is that cornell is the easiest ivy to get into, the hardest to get out of

I think it all depends on what your major is. Cornell is probably the toughest for the hard sciences; I dunno about the others.

yeah probably

on their website looking at their scores...it seems that sum ppl did get in with pretty low scores...i may have a chance!(.023432% chance)

eibrahim, lol..you only look at SAT scores in judging admission?
what website is this?

Cornell is tough. Sciences (engineering in particular) are tough but even classes in the Arts and Sciences are rough classes. The professors really work you and, with the curve, it can sometimes be really hard to get an A.

engineering is probably the toughest, average sat is 1440, and the 75th percentile range is 1510, and i think the 25th is like 1380, i think that is higher than any of the other colleges

It is soooo true!!!

Easy to get a B. Hard to get an A.

Anyone know anything about the Hotel courses?

its weird that cornell is harder that HYPS...

Supposedly Cornell has grade "deflation" while at least HY (i dont know about PS) have grade inflation..

losoland its tru, check out their page. it wasn't only SAT's that i was looking at, its my biggest concern. but my grades are " ok" big upward trend so i hope they like that. good EC's too, and recs. my school doesnt rank thank god

So if I major in physics at Cornell and do well does that look better than majoring in physics at princeton or stanford?

I would think that doing well and getting a degree in physics at any of those colleges will look pretty damn good.

dude, you spelled curriculum wrong..that's terrible for a cornell applicant. anyway, i know a couple of people that got into cornell and brown because of non-academic hooks and had less than 1200 SAT and less than 3.5 gpas, but are still getting As and Bs without struggling too much. i suppose it depends on the person

I heard biology majors suffer the most :(
