Cornell traditions

I'm probably going to apply ED to Cornell, and as such I'd like to get to know as much as possible about it. I have been to info sessions and taken a tour of the campus, and I have also done that specifically for the College of Engineering. However, obviously, not everything is said in these, so I was just wondering if some of the Cornellians could give further insights on traditions and other unique things about Cornell.

I, and probably most others, have heard about the ice cream thing. I also heard about something with the architecture school building a dragon. Can somebody expand on these and other unique Cornell things?

Some of the sections have links to main articles, those will also interest you. There is a nice article for Dragon Day.

Thanks, Mercury, for that excellent link.

Yeah, thanks... that was very helpful.
