Cornell transfer: CALS or CAS?

Which college gives more curves in science courses?(Easiness in achieving better grade)

Depends on what science you talk about, because for some science courses, CALS and CAS students take it together.

admission rate for CAL is is something like 50% I believe.

kkl230, I am talking about premedical/bio courses.

Blackdream, 50% for transfers?? That is way too high.

yeah most bio courses include students from both schools

and yeah that 50% acceptance rate was very tempting, i was originally going to apply to CLAS or human ecology, but then i wanted to take other courses too that those other schools didn't offer.

I've heard that internal transfers are easy to do at cornell. Still i would recommend you apply to CAS :)

well cornell classes are big!!

intro psych is the notorious 2000 people class.

i thought bio and chem majors didn't have to take psych or any sort of social. sci., am i missing something?

If you are planning to attend med school or law school, you should go ahead and enroll in the most difficult courses; it will help you establish discipline so that you may be able to excel at the above schools.

I would argue that anyone considering law or medicine should give themselves the toughest time in college, as it is the best preparation one can receive.

By the way, hnbui, I found a coherent philosophy writing guide for you:

thanks man :)

cool0215- blackdream may be right, cuz i know ILR's acceptance rate is above 50%.

ILR's is like 62 or 63 percent. CALS is about 52.
