Cornell transfer CALS - Transfer Option???

Hi, I’m looking to transfer to CALS as a Communications major from a community college in Cali. I have a 4.0 GPA right now.

I just did some reading on google about something called a Transfer Option, but I think you have had to apply to Cornell as a freshman applicant, be denied and offered a transfer option in order to receive one? Is that correct?
If not, is there anyway I can get a TO? Could I apply after my freshman year of college and if I’m denied can I be offered a TO? I also have another general question: if you’re rejected from Cornell if you applied after your freshman year are you allowed to reapply after your sophomore year?
I’m just trying to find a way to get offered a TO. Is there any other way other than being rejected initially? I never applied to Cornell as a freshman applicant.

Also, does anyone know the transfer acceptance stats for CALS?

The Guaranteed Transfer option is different than just transferring. You can apply to transfer to Cornell just as you would any college. The GT is offered to some people after they initially apply to Cornell, but it doesn’t concern you so you don’t need to worry about it.

Can we guess when Transfer Option decisions will come out for CALS? This process has taken way too long, and is very stressful. I just want to hear back already.
