I think you stand a good chance. Seeing as Cornell’s transfer acceptance rate is around 20%, you could very well be in that top 20% of people.

If you haven’t done so already, try to connect your love of biology/chemistry/science with your prior health issues in essays. I think the main thing schools look at when transferring is personality and passion. Your grades are great, as are your test scores, but how they see you as a person will make or break it. Secondly, how does that personality fit CORNELL, how will your passion fit in and ultimately better CORNELL. Your health issues provide a very compelling lead into your desired major and undergraduate path.

I wouldn’t say you’re in for sure, as no one is guaranteed, but I would say you are competetive and if you make connections to your goals, and your past, you will increase your chances.

Good luck!

In my day, I transferred in to Arts & Sciences. Hum Ec is a much easier school to transfer into. They take so many transfers. Good Luck!

did you take classes with transfering to Hum Ec in mind or?

And with your great stats did you get into great schools private schools? No offence but could you have gone to a better school?
