They also said that if the special circumstances occurred as of 2021, they canāt examine that until June. So either way, they make you commit to the school with the hope that theyāll honor your appeal-no guarantees.

My special circumstances occurred in mid 2019. My husband and I disagree as to what should be done. We even discussed divorce today. My convo with this person at Cornell was one of the most poorly handled and rather threateningā¦. If it were strictly up to me, theyād be out.

I wouldnāt say that, some issues leading to it, but we donāt agree with how our family finances should work. Iām not willing to liquidate everything to make this work. He is.

Checklists typically start to disappear the morning of the Tuesday of decision. I donāt think anyone heard on the Monday prior, as of yet.

Checklists disappear 10-11am ET. Some disappear as late as 12:30pm. As west said, they disappear on a Tuesday. Expect the actual decision to come out ~4 hours after so around 2pm ET.

Unfortunately I ended up enrolling somewhere else-I received a full-tuition scholarship at a well-ranked state institution. The cost of Cornell was far too great. I was truly looking forward to enrolling, as their program was unique, but I could not incur such a large amount of debt for an undergraduate degree. Hopefully you are able to figure out something for your son.

Someone else from finaid called today because the person I spoke with last week left no notes. It was a better conversation. Now we have to work on the appeal. Iām sorry it didnāt work for you but your other opportunity sounds amazing! Best wishes to you!
