Accepted Math Major CAS!!! The second time is a charm I guess after I got rejected last year as a freshman applicant, so I’m really surprised!!! Non-TO obviously.
Current Freshman at T20 US News University. Approx a 3.94 GPA (might go down a bit to a 3.92 depending on what I get in my chem class lol). Even though my college GPA isn’t perfect, I am taking a bunch of junior-level math classes so some of my grades there are meh. Pretty decent HS stats (GPA hard to calculate since it was between two schools so like a 3.8-9 UW), 1600 SAT, and a 36 ACT.
Good luck to anyone who hasn’t heard back yet, and congratulations to anyone who has gotten in. To those who got rejected, I really know your pain. But, you don’t have to let it define you, and frankly, in a week at most, you’ll find a way to move on. It’s their loss not to take you, and there are plenty of reason why someone wouldn’t want to go to Cornell.

Admitted CAS non-TO Rising Junior.
4.0 at my current uni. Busy course load b/c I’m pre-med.
3.97 UW in HS. 1560 SAT.
Cornell reached out to me last week asking for course syllabi relevant to my major, so I guess for future reference that could be an early predictor for admission.

Congrats on the acceptance!! To provide just a slightly different take for the course-syllabi situation, I did NOT receive any communication from CU asking for this (unless I completely missed their attempts to reach out). Thus, it’s not an end-all-be-all if you don’t get a request for course syllabi. It could be, however, that CU’s department was familiar with the classes I was taking from my current uni from recent applicants from there, and thus didn’t need it again or something.
