Well, Im currently a student at UMass Amherst, and I will apply to transfer to Cornell for the spring 2009 semester. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice concerning the transfer process, and if they know of anyone that has transferred from UMass to Cornell.
Im not sure of my chances (btw, Im a freshman): first semester I had two As and three B-s, and for second semester I will hopefully have all A/A-s. Im also taking classes at the neighboring Amherst College and Smith College, and so far have received As there. However my high school transcript is pretty average, and so are my SATs. I have done ECs, not sure if they are impressive enough for Cornell, and I did cross-country in high school. I guess, Im just hoping for people to give me some kind of advice or opinion.

Thanks!

P.S. Sorry if you see this twice, I'm new to this site and not sure how to navigate it...

you should maybe ask this question in the chance thread. I think that there'
s a Cornell thread too. I am new to this forum so I can't help that much.

Wow. I am also applying to Cornell as a Transfer. I will be a junior in the fall and my stats are probably very similar to yours (except I have 2 years of college experience).

Oh, I currently go to a SUNY school in Buffalo and I am applying to ILR for Fall '08.
