cornell transfer

I wouldn't be so certain about the extension. I was at Admissions yesterday and first the secretary told me that it had been extended, but then I spoke with someone who deals with transfers and she repeated that today is the deadline.

I called and had someone else call back a half an hour later to double check. You have to have Part I submitted by today - Part II has been extended to April 15th.

I'm really kind of confused now whether I should send it now before it's too late or wait till tomorrow and see what happens, I mean I will gladly use the extra time on my essays...

Same here. I called and that is what they told me - I will take their word over anyone else's.

Additionally - they said that they want your applications as close to the March 15th deadline as possible.

Who did you speak with though? Was it someone from the general admissions office? Or was it someone from the admissions office in one of the colleges?

It was the general admissions office.

Which college are you applying to? So I suppose you will take your time and send it a bit later? I just hope that they won't take the online app down after today.

Arts and Sciences.

Cool, I guess good luck with your application!

i have an important question....

lets say you want to apply to CALS AEM for spring of next year. you hear back during winter break and find out you got rejected. can you turn around and right away apply for the following fall? i'm sure you probably can but will they basically auto-reject you since they just rejected you a few months prior? if you can re-apply for the following fall, will it hinder your chances of getting in? do you have to create all new essays and what not? i would imagine the app would be virtually the same with just final grades from the prior fall as well as midterm grades for the spring...and also, how much more difficult is it to gain admission in the spring rather than the fall; preferrably for the AEM program if anyone knows.

im just a little confused and nervous about trying to transfer next year. if anyone knows these answers that would really help me out a lot. thanks
