"Martha E. Pollack, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, was elected on Monday as Cornell University’s 14th president by the its Board of Trustees, according to a news release from Cornell.
She will take office on April 17, 2017, the release says, and will succeed Hunter R. Rawlings III, Cornell’s interim president. Mr. Rawlings, who had served as Cornell’s 10th president, was named interim president after the untimely death of President Elizabeth Garrett." …
