Note:: My SAT scores posted are the ones that I received the very first time I took the actual full length test. I'm going to take them in October, but I'm not really expecting a 200 point jump.

The College I'm looking at is Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences.

I was also wondering about my chances of making into their Symphony Orchestra. To give you [musicians out there] and idea of the level of my violin playing, I'm working on Zigunerweisen, a couple unaccomp. Bach Partidas, Wieniawski Scherzo Tarantelle, and have recently finished the illustrious Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto.

I’d say you have a good shot. Your SAT is above the average and you have some nice EC’s. I’d be surprised if you didn’t get accepted.

I think you’re in, especially with ED/EA. Even with all the violinist competition, you stand out (like concertmistress). The SATs are a tiny bit weak, but not bad at all when accompanied with your GPA/APs. Good luck! :)

I agree with the posters above, I think you have a good shot! Good luck!
