Cornell University Class of 2013 RD Results

no man, I got mine on March 5th, although on the letter head it was dated March 2nd. Hotel school has rolling decision, so I just came home one day from the beach and there was a letter sitting in my mailbox from them. It was suuuper thin, only 1 page, so i was nervous initially, but i got in.

[/ul]Other Factors: Good interview with a guy who graduated from Cornell (he was awesome) and I work during the summer and school year.

Why do you think you were accepted/rejected/waitlisted/offered guaranteed transfer: I would like to think that it’s because I put a significant amount of effort into my high school studies, but I’m sure many will insist it’s just because I’m a Hispanic female…

General Comments/Congratulations/etc: Congrats to those who got accepted and good luck to those of you still waiting!

***Also, someone said that that CAS has only sent “likely letters” but mine clearly says in bold letters “you will be offered admission to Cornell.” That sounds more definite than likely, right? Is that what the other CAS letters said?

CAS is “You will” and COE is “You are very likely”

Both are 100% guarantees, assuming no F’s or D’s and no legal problems.

My CoE is “You will” I guess it just varies.

!!! When is the 31st gonna come???

^^Next Tuesday

Not soon enough!!

gasp* you all are so smart! umm…how come some people received their decisions before the 31st?

Did anyone apply to cornell’s architecture program??? :)

You know, this thread is going to be extemely happy until march 31st… how many likely letters does cornell send?

^^^Not very many compared to the amount of applicants…just a disproportionate amount because it’s CC.

I hope so, or I’m going to feel extremely screwed…

Is there going to be an official RD decisions thread for non-likelies? Or are we posting on this one?

OMG GOT ACCEPTED

by University of Chicago after deferral from Cornell! TAKE THAT CORNELL! YES!!!

Congrats but why would you post this under the Cornell thread? You must have really liked this school, I guess.

Congrats. I expect a lot more good news will be coming from Cornell.

I was rejected from Chicago. Cornell doesn’t seem possible anymore.
