@maryelzz So long… :((
I applied as “undecided” but had heard that they send out acceptances for diversity earlier than Ivy Day
anyone hear anything from human ecology?
Any tanner dean scholars out there?
No , Still Waiting…
so now is the next wave of application just going to be march 30th, or are there going to be earlier acceptances/rejections??
Last year they released LLs for URMS on Monday, March 14. The year before it was Sunday, March 15. Hopefully his means more LLs will be sent out in the next week or so.
I found this article:
http://www.news.cornell.edu/stories/2013/09/diversity-hosting-boosts-undergrad-recruitment
It says "Cornell defines an underrepresented minority as “an American Indian or Alaska Native, Black/African-American, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, or any combination” thereof, and “all students of Hispanic/Latino ethnicity, regardless of race.”” Does this mean that Asian Americans (specifically Vietnamese in my case) are not considered for the likely letters?
^you are if you’re a woman in engineering, I think, but these are more “diversity letters” than anything so that their student body is diverse.
Guys, the Human Ecology Admissions Office asked my counselor for my Mid-year grades a few days ago. My counselor told them that as I am during the IB I only have the predicted grade for the senior year, and they said that it is fine. So I was wondering as the decision are coming soon what does this mean something?
@colleges321 I would imagine that means they are considering you.
@colleges321 It honestly could have been the fact that you or your counselor forgot to send them in to the officers. I know Cornell requires a person’s midyear report to see if the student is slacking off during his/her senior year, but that’s just my two cents!
@kalons @Tinijocaro Thanks for your help. Yeah, the email said that they were reviewing my application, so I guess it’s a good sign, otherwise, they would not bother to contact me? Anyways, we will know for sure in 3 weeks! Good luck to you guys!
Can ILR students get URM likely letters despite some students receiving acceptances already?
@anaheim there is little utility in questioning about this. it is best to assume you aren’t getting anything until the 30th, or you’ll freak yourself out wayyyyy too early.
Internats, did we have to submit anything else aside from the CSS for financial aid? My financial aid page is not working it displays “no to do list is found”
@colleges321 did you do the IDOC? and i had a crap ton of financial aid stuff for Cornell, but I was also selected for verification by FAFSA so maybe thats why
@niclyd95 I did not, I think that Cornell does not ask international students to submit the IDOC. As far as I know (according to the website), we should only submit the CSS.
did anyone get likely letters???
CAn someone DM me cornell’s RD GroupMe link? tHANKS
